Insomnia in menopause can be difficult to manage - whether you wake up with hot sweats, having to use the bathroom or wake early with palpitations and anxiety.
Lets look at the frequent trips to the bathroom to empty your bladder. It may be that you have frequent urinary tract infections or just need to go. Obviously limit fluids before bed- many of us menopausal women love herbal tea or regular tea before bed.
There is a local oestrogen that can help- Vagifem or Imvaggis that you insert into the vagina @ night
Anxiety can be managed with weighted blankets or an extra blanket over your duvet
And Magnesium taken at night is good for sleep
